Not all Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs are friendly with each other (of same sex). Definitely not the grown-up males and sometimes not even the females.

Do you know how it is with neutered dogs? Just being curious... ^^

If you think it in the sense that neutered dogs aren't agressive, then it can be that way in some cases. However it depends on the age of the dog when he was neutered, if you already have an aggresive dog, then neutering will not "cure" him at all.
That's what I gather from other more experienced dog owners, I myself am not experienced enough to know:]

You're right, neutering isn't a solution for behaviour problems (apart from maybe problems due to an oversexed dog...).

Actually I was more thinking of what would happen, if an intact and a neutered male would meet. Should have been more clear about that. ^^
Like, I know an intact male who has problems with other intact males, but he's fine with females and neuteres males. Thought you might have some experience on that too.

I think your experience is how it really is. The neutered male is often considered untouchable to males, like a female. there's a problem that is you have a neutered agressive male, other males don't expect any animosity, especially not an attack and are unwilling to fight back. That's what I hear most often.

Now, that's a situation I haven't even though of. But sure, I can see that being a problem, when a male gets attacked by a 'somehow female' dog. Must be a strange stituation for a male...

Indeed. Some people say that neutering will solve any agression problem, I hear it is quite popular in Europe, but if it is meant to work, I suppose you must do it even before the dog has agression issues. I don't know, I'm neither behaviorist nor veterinarian;]

Yes, it's quite popular here. There's different reasons for that;
Most shelters neuter their dogs to prevent more unwanted puppies.
A lot of breeders only give their dogs to 'pet homes' already neutered or with the direction to neuter them when they get the right age.
Pet owners who don't want a bitch in heat.
Pet owners who don't want to have a male dog running after bitches in heat.

But I think behavioural problems aren't that often the reason to neuter your dog. Would be nice to see some statistics on why people neuter their dogs. ^^

You are right, it is bothersome when a bitch is in heat. We are lucky that Raksha is more wolfish in this respect, as she goes into heat only once a year;]
