a brilliant pic ! your wolf dogs seem to be constantly testing each other, and their displays towards each other look, to someone who does not know them, so ferocious, and yet in a situation like this they just seem politely puzzled.
Thank you! Your observation is spot-on, CSWs communicate their emotions and thoughts and opinions very well with their posture and expression, they always give a warning, which makes them very easy to read. Not all dogs still communicate so naturally, some are even scared of CSWs. But the basic expressions of threat and submission is still present even dogs so far removed from wolves as poodles are, as you can see in this picutre. It's just that Raksha was confused, seeing a dog so tiny and so obviously weak compared to her acting so confident and even trying to look threatening. If it was her in the poodle's place, she would be showing a very polite expression, looking sideways and inconspicuous, especially upon first meeting Yet the poodle was barking and moving in on her. I wonder if he was expecting her to run for her life?
Napoleon syndrome? hahahaha! At least, that's what my girlfriend always says about me! My, how this photo makes me laugh! Even though you can't see the full face of the bigger dog, you can almost read his mind.....and it's hysterical!!!!!
You are right. Also the fact that their owners pick them up when big dogs come near doesn't help - they only get more impertinent with big dogs, because they know they'll soon be elevated to human heights, out of reach of the other dogs;]
hehehee yeah...you're right there... I'm always close when they are around bigger dogs. Most of biggers are gentle, but one never know. Also, my poodles live with a boxer, a viszla and a doberman, so they are quite uesd to bigger animals...
