Czechoslovakian Wolfdog Stamp by Czertice Czechoslovakian Wolfdog Stamp by Czertice
CSW is a dog breed with a third of wolf blood in their veins, responsible for their beauty, agility, health, intelligence and natural behavior.
Wolves and wolfdog hybrids are not pets, CSWs are, I own one.

Jé, to já hrozně ráda slyším ty děsivý historky z počátků:] Prý se čévéčkům tehdá říkalo Hartlova pomsta:D Museli bejt hrozný:]

A to mi prosím dělali i psi "nemazlící". A pravda, psi mě mají nejraději, když si v batohu nesu z obchodu kus klobásy či jiné flákoty... zištné potvory :D

I would definitely want to own czechoslovakian wolfdog some day. I remember when I found out about this breed long ago, I fell in love with it straight away. But first I would need to get rid of my student-life and get a house with a big yard. Also, since I've never had a dog, I wonder if I should start with some other breed... or my worst fear is that me and CSWs wouldn't even fit together. :< I wouldn't want to take one if I'm not sure I'm good enough to handle it.
Oh dreams.

Well. Nice to have the stamp in my collections at least. c:

Some of my friends have a CSW in a flat, but I think a yard is better. Less work for you, less things to be destroyed. Raksha is our first dog too, but we did all the studying we could about the breed and its training. Some people suggest getting a husky first, since their temperament can be similar, but I don't know about that.
Dreams are good, we all have them;]

I can believe yard is better. I'm not even a dog myself and I would want a big yard, so I can believe the dog would appreciate it. It's nice to hear your first dog has also been CSW, that makes me a little more relieved... I suppose will just need to discuss with local owners and breeders when I will start considering getting my own... :)
Thanks for your reply!

It's my pleasure. I definitely recommend visiting a breeder, and possibly an owner as well. For one you will see how the dogs behave, and secondly people always give more information off the record;]

Aww! Their adorable! But the thing is, with all the wolfaboo's, won't everyone want one? And what will happen to all the dogs already being killed in shelters?

They are really really pretty, though ^^ look like a wolf. xP
My uncle has a German Shepherd mix that looks exactly like a wolf, he's the sweetest thing ever.

Adopt! for one thing, stop buying from breeders.

Adopting (which by itself is admirable) won't stop people from abandoning dogs.
Buying from breeders has several good reasons: you know from what conditions your puppy comes, you know what kind of dog it will grow into, you can shape its character for yourself and you know what you can expect in terms of the dog's appearance and general behavior.

But buying from breeders means that another dog in a shelter will die. You don't have to have a dog from birth to have a good connection with it and know what it's behavior will be like.
