I believe they are closely related to German Shepherds, or their crosses.

Really, what a coincidence;] They are nice, extremely easy to train and just half as big as German Shepherds.

Our neighbor has two of them, sisters, and he swears they have "trained themselves". Raksha likes them a lot, as she grew up next to them, they are the only dogs she still shows puppy-like submisivity to.

My dog is a bit like that too. Even though she had never lived in a house before coming to my place, she was toilet trained from the first day on. :D
